My Interview in TCS

TCS is the first company in our campus, where almost everybody is ready with their preparation to crack the test and then the Interview. Having the rumor, the test being toughest, I found the test pretty comfortable wrt my preparation. Luckily I got selected in the first round (Written) …

Then we went to Hostel to change our dress for the interview. Our seniors came to hostel to call us for the interview. And I went on bike from hostel to guest house where interviews are being held, there I came to know that I m the topper in written test in my batch. I felt very happy.. Then went to the Guest House where all our guys are eagerly waiting for their turn sitting there in sofas.

There are two rounds. Technical and HR . I waited for hours eagerly waiting for my turn murmuring myself what to speak in the interview. I felt very hungry, however as my turn is almost there, I waited for some time... then came my call. Went to the Interview panel, there sat two people middle aged. They asked me to take snacks on the desk; however I lied saying I just had.Then asked me if I m tired waiting outside... I again lied saying “NO”. Then he asked me to tell about my self... there regular question... I keep on speaking for around 4-5 min... As I have so many achievements in spoors, extracurricular activities. While telling about presentations that I have done, he asked to explain the 3 technical papers in brief... I explained them briefly. Then started question round … asked me around 40 questions... out of which I answered around 35... Questions included derivations in Management also. At the end of interview, Interviewer told... “I am letting you into TCS”. I felt very happy though I m not nervous at any point of time about my selection.

Then waited for sometime, filling some form for HR interview. I was called and started asking some questions related to Chandrababu Naidu’s defeat, Naxals in Andhra... I explained my views about them.

Then asked me if I have any questions to ask. I told, I read everything in website about TCS, so no questions... Then I was asked “who is the CEO of TCS?” – I told Ratan Tata, in the very next second I said NO NO... and thinking... he told Ramodarai... I was suspicious about his answer... however I just kept my face in that fashion without speaking anything... Then they told me Thank you... and even I said the same and came back.

At the time of results... Everyone is very much tensed and waiting for their name… My name almost came at last .. and I felt a bit relieved ….
